Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 837 s. 1991, the month of November of every year is Library and Information Services (LIS) Month. The event is in recognition of the need to focus public awareness on the invaluable service that libraries and information centers render, i. e. providing data and materials for lifelong knowledge and learning, for research and for leisure.

The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts-National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCCA-NCLIS), in partnership with the Philippine Librarians Association (PLAI) will lead the celebration with the theme: "LibREAL (Libraries: Relate, Engage, Advocate, Lead)".

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), through Sentro Rizal, invites Overseas Filipinos to join ANINAG: Photo Essay Competition, with the theme “Pagpupugay sa Migranteng Filipino Tungo sa Pagbangon Mula sa Pandemya”.

Held in celebration of<a href="/http://mof.cfo.gov.ph/about-mof/"> Month of Overseas Filipinos (MOF)</a> and <a href="/https://www.un.org/en/observances/migrants-day">International Migrants Day</a> in December, the competition is open to overseas Filipinos (OFs), including migrant workers, immigrants, who are 15 years old and above. Aside from highlighting the talents of Filipinos in photography and storytelling, the competition shall also create a space where OFs can share their unique stories in this time of pandemic.
