The Philippine Embassy in Canada joins the nation in the celebration of the 2023 International Humanitarian Law (IHL). This year’s theme, “IHL: Guide to Humanitarian Advancement of Peace”, emphasizes the ongoing and vital role of IHL in fostering peace and safeguarding the rights and dignity of individuals affected by armed conflict.

This year’s celebration will also highlight the Philippines’ continuing commitment to Peace, Security, and Excellence, as embodied in Republic Acts 9851, 10530, and 11188.

PINAY TAYO ENTREPRENEURS GROUP VISITS PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL

Consul General Escalona (center) with the other officers of the Consulate General met the officers of the Pinay Tayo, a non-profit group that aims to connect, support, and unite Filipina entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs and their supporters in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), on 01 August 2023. They discussed possible partnerships in support of Filipino-Canadian entrepreneurs.
