Toronto, 01 August 2019 -- Mr. Ron Michael Adea paid a courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto to convey his invitation for representatives of the Consulate to attend “The Ron Adea Concert,” which will be held on 18 January 2020 at the Teatrino, Greenhills Promenade in the City of San Juan, Philippines. Ron, who is 26 years old and an accomplished pianist, was accompanied by his mother Mrs. Lucy Adea.
The concert will be directed by Emily Jo Villacorta. Proceeds of the tickets sales will benefit the Autism Society Philippines and the ASP Laguna Chapter.

29 July 2019, Toronto-Officials from the Department of Education, Division of Cavite Province called on Deputy Consul General Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez on 29 July 2019. The DepEd officials were in Toronto to participate in the 145th International Academic Association of Researchers in Humanities, IT, Engineering and & Science (IAARHIES)-International Conference on Education and Management (ICEM) 2019 held at the Hilton Toronto from July 25-26, 2019.
The Philippine team’s research paper entitled “Industry Partners’ Assessment on the SHS Students’ Immersion Program in Tanza National Trade School: Basis for the Work Immersion Program Best Practices Benchmarking Seminar-Workshop for Public and Private secondary schools plan” won the Excellent Paper Award for Best Presentation and Best Content. The Philippine team’s objective in joining the international conference was to showcase the country’s best practices in the implementation of the Senior High School Work Immersion Program of the K to 12 Curriculum in the Philippines.
